Ruby with Erika Luckett
“Music that uplifts, inspires, and invites you to
drink from a stream of universal love.”
Ruby builds bridges across cultures,
combining ancient ideas with contemporary style by putting exquisite Sufi
poetry to music.
Ruby is the result of an inspired collaboration by three artists: Lisa
Ferraro, vocalist; Erika Luckett, guitarist and vocalist; and Kabir
Helminski, songwriter, author, and translator of Rumi and Sufi sheikh.
Ruby's debut album, On the Way of Love: Songs Inspired by
Rumi, brings forth a collection of eleven songs inspired by the
wisdom and poetry of the 13th century mystic, who some consider the
greatest spiritual poet of all time.
Erika Luckett
Kauai Concert Association alumna Erika Luckett creates a powerful
expression of world-inspired music. Poetic and rich, her voice conveys
lyrical depth, and her fiery, innovative guitar playing creates an
orchestra of sound with only six strings.
Erika's music, partnerships and recognition span the globe. She has
collaborated closely with international environmental organizations as
well as those striving to expand human consciousness and open the heart.
From her performance at the 20th Anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize
Forum to being honored as “One of the 100 Most Outstanding Women of
the Year” by both The Jewish Post and Modern Woman Today Magazine,
Erika Luckett shows the power of music to transform and unite people
across the planet.
Lisa Ferraro
A Pittsburgh native, Lisa's voice has graced the country spanning diverse
venues from jazz concert halls and festivals, to conferences on
spirituality and sacred houses of worship. A prolific recording artist
and performer, she has released seven albums to date and continues to
deepen and expand her artistic expression.
